Our online Spanish classes for secondary school students are aimed at all students currently enrolled in the junior cert and leaving cert cycles.
Junior Cert
- The course covers all the language skills (listening, speaking, reading comprehension and writing) to help you succeed.
- We work from sample papers to become familiar with the exam format and learn effective techniques and strategies.
- Students will develop their grammar and vocabulary integrated with the topics contained in the exam.
- You will be immersed in the language through interactive lessons that focus on listening, understanding and practising speaking Spanish.
- Important points from the previous session will be reviewed at the start of each lesson to reinforce learning.
Leaving Cert
- The course is designed to improve your Spanish language skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) on the exam topics.
- We work from past papers to practice and equip you with the tools to perform successfully on all parts of the exam.
- You will build your Grammar and Vocabulary through a wide range of interactive activities.
- You will learn to write well-structured and clear texts (formal and informal writing).
- By the end of the course, you will be more confident to communicate in Spanish and you will understand much better Spanish native speakers.

Meet the Tutor
Laura has been teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language since 2016 to both junior learners and adults. She holds a degree in Hispanic Studies and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona, spending an Erasmus year teaching at the University of Bristol.
Before teaching online she worked in a Secondary school, a Language Academy in Bristol including experience teaching one-to-one lessons. She has prepared many students for GCSEs and A-levels exams (the equivalent of Junior and Leaving Certificate).
Laura has also taught students with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia. In her classes she likes to get to know the students, know their interests and their needs to tailor the lessons and ensure each student takes important learnings away, with the purpose of increasing their engagement with the language.
